The following chart will give you a good guideline of when it is appropriate to call. However, this is a guideline and not a definitive list, so if in any doubt whatsoever please do not hesitate in contacting the Cancer Helpline.
The helpline is manned from 9am to 5pm by a dedicated team of Clinical Nurse Specialists.
If you have an emergency outside of these hours your call will be put through to the respective Haematology or Oncology ward where you will be able to speak to one of the Cancer Nursing Team.
