Our locations
The Balidon Centre
The Balidon Centre is based on the Summerlands Site in Yeovil.
When parking on the site, please make sure you use a CAMHS space. You will need to collect a parking permit from reception and put it in your car before you wait for your appointment.
We have made arrangements with the Yeovil Ex-Service Men’s Club in Legion Road, 150 yards east of the Summerlands site, along Preston Road (towards the town centre) to use their 60 space car park during working hours. Please do not park right next to the building as this may stop their delivery lorries being able to drop off essential supplies.
Alternatively, car users can also park on Preston Road in front of the Summerlands site, Westfield Road, beside it or in St Andrews Road 100 yards to the West along Preston Road.
We advise all people using the site to anticipate that parking on site will be difficult and to allow time to use these alternatives.
Foundation House
When you are coming for your CAMHS appointment, please come to the back of the building, that is where you will find our reception. The front of the building is for Adult Mental Health patients.
Foundation House, in Taunton, has free parking for visitors in the car parks at the front and back of the building. The car park can often be very busy, but there are lots of places to park in residential areas around the site.
The Horizon Centre
A specialist community hub in Taunton, offering a range of healthcare appointments, giving children and young people better access to the care they need, in a more relaxed setting.
The hub is run by Somerset NHS foundation Trust and includes a team of NHS professionals working alongside a range of voluntary and third sector organisations involved in the care of children and young people.
It has a suite of consultation and group rooms which can be used as a relaxing space for patients, their families, and colleagues based at the hub.
Priory House
Priory Park, in Wells, has limited on site parking. If you have parked on site, you will need to collect a parking permit from the main reception before you wait for your appointment.
Parking spaces are limited to 90 minutes, so if you feel you might be longer than this, please park off site.
Wessex House
We are a general adolescent unit offering mental health care for adolescents with serious mental health difficulties, who require hospital admission. Based in Bridgwater. We provide a highly specialist service providing assessment, treatment and management of young people aged between 13 and 18 whose mental health problems cannot be managed in the community because of their complexity and risk.
Coming to a CAMHS inpatient unit can be confusing and maybe frightening but we will do all we can to help you. We hope this site will help you understand more about who we are and what we do.
Visiting Hours
Monday to Friday, 6pm to 9pm
Weekends and bank holidays flexible visiting until 9pm.
