The image shows the eleven team members of the Children and Young People’s Community Palliative Care Team. The image consists of a large television screen displaying three of the team members on a video call in the background. The foreground consists of eight team members, four of which are standing while the other four are knelt on the ground to avoid blocking the television screen that is displaying their other team members.

Palliative care in children and young people refers to children/young people (CYP) who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, whereby curative treatment is no longer an option. The condition of the CYP may extend over many years.

The map below outlines the catchment area the CYPCPCT covers. They have two bases, one at East Reach House in Taunton and another at Yeovil District Hospital.
