Counselling

If you are aged 18 or above and have been diagnosed or treated due to cancer in the last 5 years at Somerset NHS Trust, or someone close to you is facing a crisis connected to a diagnosis of cancer which is affecting them emotionally then you may wish to contact us.

We offer a confidential counselling service for patients and significant others who are experiencing the psychological impact of cancer. You can talk to someone who has specialised training and knowledge of the psychological difficulties of cancer.

• Patient, up to 10 sessions.
• Significant other, up to 6 sessions.
• Couples, up to 6 sessions.
• Bereavement – significant family members whose loved one has died at Musgrove Park Hospital or Yeovil Hospital from cancer, up to 6 sessions.

• Remote, either by telephone or online.
• Face-to-face, various locations offered across Somerset.
