Where you can get care in Somerset

In Somerset, we have 2 main hospitals with Maternity Care:

  • Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton)
  • Yeovil District Hospital (Yeovil)

We also have:

  • Bracken Birth Centre (at Musgrove Park Hospital)
  • Waterlily Room (a midwife led care room at Yeovil Hospital)
  • Mary Stanley Birth Centre (a stand-alone birth centre in Bridgwater)
  • A Homebirth Team
  • Community Hubs

Your midwife will discuss with you where your care can be given.

If there is a clinical reason as to why we would advise against a choice we will explain this and make sure you have all the information you need to decide. We want you to always feel heard and in control of your choices.
