Pregnancy can make it easier for bacteria to get into your bladder. If it hurts to wee, or your urine looks cloudy or smells bad, see your GP doctor right away as this could be a sign of a urine infection.
Sometimes, infections don’t cause symptoms but can still harm your baby. Your midwife will offer to check your urine (wee) at every appointment, checking regularly helps to find infections early.
