The Pharmacy department consists of clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants and administrative staff, that support the safe management of medicines across the trust.
The department provides an integrated pharmaceutical service to Yeovil Hospital, Musgrove Park Hospital, St. Margaret’s Hospice in Taunton and Somerset community hospitals and mental health units.
The hospital pharmacies supply stock and dispensed medicines for wards, departments, community hospitals, external users, and clinics held on and off site; also having an aseptic unit for the preparation of bespoke chemotherapy.
The outpatient pharmacy at Yeovil Hospital provides a dispensing service for Yeovil Hospital prescriptions (it is unable to dispense others from outside the trust), a consultation room to discuss your medicines in private and a range of over-the-counter medicines and retail products.
