We offer a range of shoulder surgery including full replacement, shoulder arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair and general shoulder surgery. These procedures are available to private patients that choose to self-fund their surgery or those that have private healthcare insurance and are referred to us.

Meet our expert shoulder consultants and surgeons
Mr Oliver Donaldson, Consultant Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon
Training: I qualified from University of Bristol in 2002 and completed higher surgical training in Wales before fulfilling a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery in Liverpool. I was appointed as a Consultant with a subspecialty interest in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in January 2014.
My interests are in all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery including joint replacement and arthroscopic reconstructive surgery for rotator private experience. NHS peace of mind cuff problems and shoulder instability. I have a strong interest in shoulder instability and am lead author on the British Elbow and Shoulder Society’s evidence and consensus based guidelines on traumatic anterior shoulder instability.

To ensure we have the most up-to-date and relevant information about you we may request access to your GP medical record as part of our initial investigations. We will also review your Yeovil Hospital medical records.
Your referral may be re-directed by our surgeons to the most appropriate specialist.
Please be aware that following your consultation a clinic letter will be sent to your GP.
